Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) is an approach that helps to guide actions needed to transform and reorient agricultural systems to effectively support development and ensure food security in a changing climate. CSA aims to tackle three main objectives: sustainably increasing agricultural productivity and incomes; adapting and building resilience to climate change; and reducing and/or removing greenhouse gas emissions, where possible.

Energy & Utilities

Energy-technology innovation (ETI) is the set of processes leading to new or improved energy technologies that can augment energy resources; enhance the quality of energy services; and reduce the economic, environmental, or political costs associated with energy supply and use. Still more will be required of ETI during the decades ahead if civilization is to succeed in meeting the greatest energy challenges. 

This requires significant enhancements to ETI through deeper analysis of processes, greater investments in ETI, improved innovation policies, and better coordination and partnerships across sectors and countries. Challenges include: Transformation issues – 60% expect their market to transform by 2025, risks & impacts of social change and a platform economy, technology disruption, business models, and game and so forth.
